Went with the family to Sauble Beach (A beach Community in the town of South Bruce Peninsula) and then to Tobermory (A harbour village on the Bruce peninsula). he weather was great. The trips began with the drive down to sauble beach where we stayed at the Kitwat hotel by the water.
The stay was very comfortable and the lakeview was amazing. The staff are real friendly and smiling always and I mean always smiling!! The other guests bear a usual first glance scowl..lol
We had lunch and hit the beach which is really a 2 minute walk from the hotel or you can drive down a bit to where the water is clearer and a bit away from the silt of the main river coming into the lake.
The beach was amazing and we had a blast. The weather was supposed to be cloudy but we run into good luck both days where we got sunny days and great water temperatures.
Being that we had gone on a Wednesday and Thursday there was not too much of a rush and the beach was not crowded at all.
The next day we decided to head down to the Grotto at the bruce Peninsula. The walk there was wonderful and temperature perfect. It was close to Noon and the path was not to crowded but you had a comfortable amount of people walking back and forth. There was a camping ground as well along the path to the Grotto.
The Walk there
Amazing walking to the grotto...
When you get to the end of the trail..OMG what a view. Its is breathtaking!! The colors, the breeze, etc. A shot climb down the rocks and your at the water. Its a safe climb there were people of all ages climbing down there , some holding kids as they walked down the rocks. However there is another part further up where we did not go where you must not climb down holding a kid. That apparently is "The Grotto".
A must see
Clear waters to swim in...
The water was ******* cold, and so you think "I'll just jump in and then it will be all fine" but once you get in... its was still ******* cold...lol but fun all the same.
The next day we headed down again to Tobermory for some snorkelling fun.
That was fun, we went to Divers Den where we rented wetsuits and snorkelling equipment . The staff are super friendly and helpful. They don't stop there, I was happily surprised when one of the instructors seeing me outside and noticing I was lost and looking for something offered to help.
Awesome experience and educational as they explained everything clearly and took all the steps to make you feel safe and secure , especially those trying it for the first time. I highly recommend them.
Seeing the shipwreck was amazing as it was my fine underwater wreck in real life. The water was so clear and you could see everything so clearly in the sunlight.
On returning from the dive we ate Fish and Chips from one of the many restaurants surrounding the pier and made our way home.
